Soil Diagnostics
Soil health is often defined as the soil’s fitness to support crop growth without becoming degraded or otherwise harming the environment. In an agricultural context, this means its ability to resist erosion, compaction and other stresses while maintaining economic productivity. There are several different approaches to assessing soil health including analytical tests and infield assessments. It is important to consider soil and its management as part of the overall crop production system as it is all connected. Healthy soils tend to be more resilient under stressful weather conditions.
